    About This Research

Adoption is often treated as a childhood event. This research starts from a different premise: that adoption is a lifespan experience, one that shapes identity, belonging, and meaning-making not just in childhood but across an entire life.

Questions about origins, family, and self do not resolve on a schedule. They resurface at transitions, at milestones, sometimes unexpectedly. This research asks what that actually looks like from the inside.
